MY LIFE AS A WOMAN

Leaving home and all I loved for a new world

brought me face to face with poverty and

struggle. I never lost hope. The spirit of my

pallet carries me beyond life's joy and pain to

a new womanhood. I'm claiming my journey

Aspiring to be who I thought I should be

brought defeat. Studying nature taught me

to reappraise to be renewed so I could try

again to get it right, find my own magic

MY LIFE AS I SEE IT

To paint with such fluid bold colors has been

my constant. I am not afraid to bring them

to life. I want to fly like the peacock to new

horizons. I must embrace my life and take the

risk again to believe in me again
